Story

After her brother’s tragic death, Sang Mi is forced by her parents to join with them the local cult. And for years, she is unable to escape, until an old classmate, Sang Hwan, along with his ex-best friend, Dong Chul, will attempt to save her.

Korean Drama Save Me is a heart-racing thriller with a hectic plot.

The drama has a dark mood, with beautiful cinematography and clever use of light. It creates, thus, a creepy atmosphere that aids the story and its suspense.

The twists of the drama, moreover, well nicely handled. They weren’t exaggerated, but they were plenty and, along with the action scenes, added more edge to the plot.

The story, in addition, combined the takes not only of the leading lady, but the local community as well as the boys who will try to save her. That helped to not have things lose their interest factor and get boring and tiring.

Sang Hwan is the son of the local political figure. Being raised as the privileged one, he always enjoyed the benefits of his family’s connections, though he feels strongly about injustice.

Ok Taec Yeon gave an enjoyable performance.

Dong Chul is Sang Hwan’s friend, but, as he is from a poor family, he often gets wrongly accused, until he is even sent to jail for something he hadn’t committed.

Woo Do Hwan had an interesting character and he handled him brilliantly.
