Kim Tae Ri Cries for Help in the Latest Teaser and Poster of the K-Drama " Revenant"- MyDramaList

After finding the last artifact, the hairpin, at Hyangi’s body, San Yeong is free from her ghost. So, she takes her mother home, after she is released from the hospital, and assures her friends that she is alright and she is now looking forward to having a normal life.

However, Hong Sae is skeptical about it, and confesses his doubts to Hae Sang. The latter, unfortunately, has to rush to the hospital, as he was informed of Byung Hee’s death and Chi Won’s involvement with it.

But, the police have started believing that San Yeong is a murder suspect for Byung Hee’s death, as they consider it likely that it was a murder rather than a suicide. So, Hong Sae and Hae Sang start looking into it before binding the demon.

Meanwhile, San Yeong has prepared breakfast for her mother and is acting strangely. Thus, it is revealed that Hyangi has never left San Yeong, rather, she has abolished her spirit into the mirror to die a slow death. And, as her mother is desperate to save her, Hyangi orders her to kill Hae Sang.

Meanwhile, Hong Sae spies on San Yeong’s whereabouts and discovers that she is aiming to kill Gyeong Mun by making her drink poison. But when he confronts her, she is unwilling to tell him where the real San Yeong is.

All the while, Hae Sang is performing the binding ritual by visiting every place the victims of Hyangi killed themselves. But when he reaches Hwawonjae, he is attacked by Gyeong Mun, who is apologetic afterward and explains everything to him.

After that, Hae Sang teams up with Hong Sae and they discover that before Byung Hee died, she kept trying to cut her finger, indicating that the last artifact for the binding is Hyangi’s missing finger. However, they are unable to find it in her house.

In the meantime, Gyeong Mun goes back home and tells Hyangi about Hae Sang’s plan. Hyangi then poisons her and sends a cry for help to Hae Sang via Geyong Mun’s phone. However, Hae Sang knows that something is wrong, thus he stays behind while Hong Sae rushes and saves Geyong Mun.

Hae Sang hides at Byung Hee’s house and when Hyangi arrives and gets the finger from the hiding place, Hae Sang takes it from her. However, Hyangi threatens him by attempting to harm herself, therefore killing San Yeong as well, which results in Hae Sang giving in and Hyangi knocking him unconscious while she takes the finger.

But, she can’t run away as San Yeong, having confronted her demons in the mirror, takes over and burns the finger, and binds the ghost once and for all.

After that, San Yeong starts living a happier life, as she chose to live rather than get suffocated by her own depressing thoughts. And before she loses her sight, she makes a backlist of all the things she wants to do.

Hong Sae continues his career as a police officer and keeps in touch with her, even informing her that Byung Hee’s case was ruled out for suicide.

As for Hae Sang, he lives a happier life, though he can still see ghosts.

Overall, the drama was pretty intense and emotional, with an interesting mystery and a heartbreaking case.
