As Mi Ran is ready to close up for the day, she is ambushed by the real culprit of the murders, the owner of the rice cake restaurant. Turns out, he has killed both her father, calling it an accident, and then the gang member who had evidence against him. And he is there to get that evidence from Mi Ran.
However, Doo Shik-Yoo Kyung, recalls that day when they took the pictures all together with Seok Hee’s camera, when she asked the rice cake restaurant owner to take it. That memory has the whole gang rushing to Mi Ran’s coffee shop, finding the girl terrified, but okay, and the murderer gone.
Hence, everything returns to normal. Doo Shik and Hyun Wook go back to Seoul, and Baek Do is preparing for the championship, hoping that maybe Doo Shik will be there this time to watch him win.
Before the big day, Baek Du has a heart-to-heart conversation with his dad, when the latter admits that he sees something great in his son. Also, Baek Du finally has his match with Jin Su, in which the first wins, giving him another big boost for his upcoming match.
On the day of the championship, Baek Du wins all his matches and he is led to the final. However, none is there to cheer him, as the villages are stuck in traffic due to an accident en route and they can only listen to the match through the radio, and Doo Shik is sent with Hyun Wook to catch the rice cake restaurant owner who has been spotted at a motel.
Meanwhile, Baek Du’s rival for the final is Dong Seok, and they have a difficult match, with both sides being equally good, but Baek Du seemed to want it the most. Thus, he becomes the new champion, though he still is thinking of Doo Shik and her promise to be there for him, even calling her out on national tv, and roaming alone at her old house back home, while his friends have gathered at Mi Ran’s to celebrate his victory.
However, as he finally heads to the cafe, he discovers Doo Shik outside, waiting for him. She tells him why she wasn’t at the championship and explains showing up with a bloody lip due to catching the culprit. She also answers his confession, admitting that she too likes him, which results in Baek Du kissing her.
Later on, they attend his party, with their friends figuring out what had happened between them and they tease them about it. They all end up walking along the beach, happily together at last.
Overall, the drama was heartwarming, with sweet characters, and many cute moments, as well as a nicely handled sports drama.
