Story

Lee Yeon is forced to travel back in time to 1938 where he is reunited with his brother, Lee Rang, and some old friends that will now help him discover who is behind all these odd attacks that keep happening.

Korean Drama Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 is the sequel of the 2020 drama.

The story, this time, takes a more historical aspect, focusing more on the characters and the mystery they are trying to solve rather than an angsty romance.

The plot is also full of suspenseful subplots and mythical creatures that keep things intense and thrilling, while the action scenes are plenty and enjoyable.

Also, the relationship between the characters was strong, full of chemistry, and offered a lot of emotional scenes.

The romance, in addition, was left on the sidelines and it was tragic and enough as to not refocus the drama from a bromance to a romance.
