Story

Hye Jin was pretty, until she hit adolescence. Since then, she has been mocked for her looks, something that didn’t bother her, until her old crash, Sung Jun, now a handsome and successful man, asks to meet her. So, Hye Jin sends her best friend in her place. Unfortunately, Hye Jin will be recruited to work for a prestigious magazine that is run by Sung Jun!

Korean Drama She Was Pretty is a light, funny drama with feel-good vibes. The main cast does a great job keeping it that way too!

The drama has a strong start, with the characters being introduced and Hye Jin proving to everyone and herself, that looks don’t matter.

In addition, the dynamics and chemistry of the couple are spot on. But what is more enjoyable is the love triangle that is entertaining and sweet.

Unfortunately, the last part was not as good as the first part. Still, the drama kept the light, fluffy mood till the very ending.

Hye Jin is a strong, professional woman who has been trying to find a permanent job. She has been judged by her looks to the point where she starts feeling insecure.

Hwang Jung Eum was delightful to watch.

Sung Jun is a successful businessman who has dedicated his life to his career. He is sweet but appears to be cold.

Park Seo Joon was funny and a nice main lead.

Ha Ri is Hye Jin’s best friend. She has a friendly personality and a sweet character.

Goo Joon Hee was very cute.

Shin Hyuk is Hye Jin’s coworker. He is a reporter who is a busybody and often makes pranks.

Choi Si Won was an excellent second lead.

My overall rating for the Korean Drama She Was Pretty is 7 out of 10. Though the ending was cheesy, the drama is a fun ride.
