Story

Jung Woo and Soon Deok have shared the same unfortunate fate: they both lost their spouses. And now, they join forces to aid older women and men to get married.

Korean Drama The Matchmakers is a historical romantic comedy, with an emphasis on the comedy.

The drama has an adorable and feisty female lead who was enjoyable to watch and moved the story forward.

The love story, on the other hand, was boring and started quite late in the series. Still, their dynamics were spot on and provided the drama with loads of comical scenes.

The comedy, therefore, was nicely handled and embedded smoothly in the plot.
