The Main Couple

Honestly, I wasn’t going to watch this drama. The description of people who work in Incheon Airport and their stories weren’t that appealing to me, when dramas like The Beauty Inside and A Hundred Days Husband were out (and yes I am a huge Kyungsoo fan so….). But, I would have been missing out. Because the two other dramas were actually just okay, but this one was really, really good.

Story

Yeo Reum works in Incheon Airport. She is light-headed and always gets in trouble. She is assigned under the care of one of her juniors, in order to learn how to work professionally. That junior is Soo Yeon. He is a perfectionist who acts coldly towards everyone and especially Yeo Reum. Actually, the two of them start disliking each other. But, Soo Yeon seems to be hiding something. He displays extraordinary physical power from time to time and reminds Yeo Reum of a guy who saved her in the past, though he denies having anything to do with it. Soon, however, we discover his secret: Soo Yeon was paralyzed when he was younger and he is using robotic implements to be able to walk and move in general.

Yeo Reum

The story was simple and yet alluring. The robotic parts twist was okay, closer to reality than fantasy, and that helped the drama be more cozy and likable. The romance was slowly built and it had some strong chemistry to aid it. However, the ending was really poor. Nevertheless, the small cases that the characters had to deal with were entertaining and had some suspense into them, even though they were simple and had to do with airport security issues most of the time. Also, the side stories were cute, though not well concluded. Finally, I have to point out that some story threads were left unfinished, like what happened to the girl’s dad, or how that man invented the robotic aid. Notable mention the shout out to BTS and Army’s purple ribbon campaign for airport security.

Characters

Soo Yeon

Yeo Reum is a girl who tries hard to be something she is not. She imagines herself as that professional, perfect woman when she is clumsy and always gets scolded because she acts as her heart dictates. She is friendly and warm towards others and she has many friends. Many might say that her character was annoying. And for sure, at first, I found her annoying too. But she tones it down, so the rest of the drama was fine. Chae Soo Bin gave us a good performance and she had chemistry with her partner, which helped with the romance development.

Soo Yeon is a simple guy who’s good at what he does. We don’t know much about him, nor we learn his past or personality in depth. He is presented as the opposite of Yeo Reum, a cold perfectionist who is praised by his superiors. Then, the twist with the “super” human straight is added to the mix. That’s when his tragic past life comes up and Soo Yeon starts developing feelings for Yeo Reum. But, all in all, his character was only this: a guy who can’t accept his current condition, has a tragic past and a conflict with his brother and he loves Yeo Reum. Lee Je Hoon presented his character well, without overacting the dramatic scenes and he was also good with the romance and the action scenes. He actually projected an innocent and an inner pain throughout the drama.

Cinematography

The robotic parts actually looked real, so they nailed that part. Also, the action scenes were decent.

Overall

My rating for this drama is 8 out of 10. It was a really good drama, but the ending wasn’t good and some things were left open.
