Story
Do Hoon is a secret agent, working as a sniper for the National Intelligence Service, while, for everyone else, even his family, he is an employee for a trade company and a loving husband and father. On the other hand, Yoo Ra is his perfect wife who is the model of a great daughter in law and mother. However, she too has a big secret.
Korean Drama Family The Unbreakable Bond is a family-spy comedy.
The drama utilizes its big advantage, the leading couple, to its fullest, often relying on their chemistry to help the drama go through some tedious twists.
However, the main couple started losing its charm when the action scenes kicked in. It felt more like two individuals trying to save their family, rather than a team working together. That is when the family bonds were the most enjoyable part of the drama, along with Yoo Ra’s past story.
Other than that, the drama offered enough suspenseful twists, though some were predictable, and the comedy was smooth.
Characters
Do Hoon is a family man who is praised for his dedication to his family and his adoration for his daughter, who pretty much controls his life. However, when it comes to his profession, he is a ruthless killer.
Jang Hyuk truly shines in his comedy acts.
