Story

Lee Tae is the king and his life is all about maintaining his position and battling his court. And to enhance his authority, he has to marry a key player’s daughter. Unfortunately, Lee Tae’s heart belongs to Yoo Jung, a merchant whose family had been wrongly accused as traitors. Yoo Jung believes that the man she meets every fifteen days is a scholar. But things will get complicated when Gye Won, Lee Tae’s enemy, will discover his secret.

Korean Drama Bloody Heart is a political drama with a twisty romance.

The first part was intriguing, with the secret between Yoo Jung and Lee Tae occupying most of the main plot. The political drama was the main focus after that.

And it was interesting for a while, but it got boring towards the ending, as the twists got more and more predictable and it felt like the drama had few surprises to offer.

On the other hand, the relationship between Lee Tae and Gye Won was pretty intriguing. It had its ups and downs, but, overall, was what kept things moving.

As for the romance, it was sweet and intense, though the politics of the palace often made the characters act foolishly.
