Story

Ayaka is a girl who is praised for her beauty, whereas she has an awful character. But when Togo, the new CEO of the hotel where she works, and a wealthy bachelor, asks her to pose as his wife, her true nature starts coming out.

Japanese Drama Ousama ni Sasagu Kusuriyubi is a romantic comedy, with the contract marriage trope at its core.

The drama uses the comedy part masterfully, as to keep things light and fluffy.

The romance, in addition, had a nice pace, as the two of them didn’t awkwardly or immediately fell in love, but took their time to gradually get closer and closer.

The love triangle, moreover, had potential but ended up being boring and predictable.

The drama also started utilizing more and more cliche twists to enhance the drama between the main leads, but the result was to make things cheesy.
