Korean Drama The King of Pigs is a shocking spiral of school trauma
Story
Jong Suk and Kyung Min were friends in high school, when the latter was extremely bullied. Now, after twenty years, they will be forced to meet, as a serial killer starts concerning the police where Jong Suk is working.
Korean Drama The King of Pigs is a shocking drama that takes the viewer into a spiral down the depths of bullying and the trauma it causes.
The drama is a well-constructed mystery that reveals its elements slowly throughout the story, keeping things thrilling and the audience hooked till the very ending.
The gore and bloody scenes are not over the top, furthermore, nor only there to provoke. Rather, they add to the tragedy and the strength of the story.
Moreover, the performances, especially by the younger cast, were all excellent, aiding the drama to reach that level of perfection.
And even though things got a bit out of hand towards the ending, those characters and the mystery about that final answer kept things suspenseful and intriguing.
As for the ending of the drama, it was just right for the story, shocking, yes, but it fitted the story perfectly.
