Japanese Drama Nagatan To Aoto: Ichika no Ryourijou is a drama about the love for cooking
Story
Ichika loves cooking, but she can’t work as a head chef and save her family’s restaurant in Kyoto because she is a woman. Thus, she is forced to marry Amane, a boy who is fifteen years younger than her but comes from a rich family.
Japanese Drama Nagatan To Aoto: Ichika no Ryourijou is a historical drama about food and family.
The drama has many heartwarming moments, especially as Ichika and Amane start bonding and establishing a strong relationship, supporting each other, and understanding each other.
And even though their relationship is unconventional, due to their age gap and the fact that he is a college student, he is mature enough to make it easier for the viewer to overlook it, as, if he acted all cute and childish, it would have made their relationship weird.
Rather, the couple had few romantic moments, as the drama focussed more on Amane supporting Ichika’s dream and on food, of course.
In addition, the drama that was playing in the background and reached its climax in the final episodes, though predictable, was a nice note to the story and got things more thrilling.
