The drama had a strong start, but they started dragging towards the ending.
Story
Yeon Seo was a prima ballerina who had a bright career ahead of her. However, after a stage accident, she is blinded. Now, she lives alone in a huge estate, bickering about everything and fighting with everyone who works for her. Being arrogant and a difficult character, she has no friends and only a few people she can trust. After the man who raised her after her parents’ death, died in an accident, in which she was the sole survivor due to a miracle, she employees Dan, an optimistic young man.
Dan is, in reality, an angel. He was the one who saved her life, and for that, he is punished to become a human. Dan believes that the key to him returning back to his position is to help Yeon Seo find love. However, because everyone in her life, including her own family, are trying to take advantage of her and take her money, Yeon Seo has given up on love. Another obstacle is the fact that Dan is the one falling in love with her, while trying to help her become a ballerina again.
The story had many layers. There was the family drama, with all those mean ladies trying to win over Yeon Seo and get her money and fame. Also, Dan’s story was tragic as well, with his past life being connected to Yeon Seo’s. In addition, the love story was cute, because it was built slowly along with Yeon Seo’s character development and the way Dan helped her regain her love for life and the strength to carry on. Probably the story about Yeon Seo and how she was trying to become a ballerina again and trust people was the best part of the drama along with the fantasy storyline that was well presented and had a nice development.
However, towards the ending, the drama started getting boring. The big family drama kept delaying, having some moments here and there, but never reaching the big momentum. The love story was cliché at some point and the ending was unoriginal, but okay nevertheless. Overall, the start was good, but the ending was boring.
Characters
Yeon Seo is an arrogant, sarcastic former prima ballerina. She has a life full of misfortune and she can’t trust anyone in her life because they just want to take advantage of her and her money. She has given up on life and love. Shin Hye Sun was yet in another fairy tale like drama and she was simply great in the dancing scenes, as well as the dramatic ones.
Dan is a sweet, optimistic angel who can’t resist but help those in need, even when he is instructed not to. He is generous and empathetic as well. However, he can’t remember his past, but he is committed to his job as a guardian angel. L has turned into a great actor and his performance was pretty good.
Cinematography
The drama handled the fantasy element fantastically, but they had problems with the pacing.
Overall
My overall rating for the drama is seven out of ten. The start was strong, but it got weaker towards the ending.
