Korean Drama Scripting Your Destiny is a well crafted fantasy romance.
Story
Ho Yoon is in charge of writing people’s destinies. But when he has to write the romantic life of Chae Kyung, a scriptwriter of a famous melodrama, he uses her own writing in order to create her fate and bring her closer to tv producer Ba Reum. He even posses as Chae Kyung’s landlord in order to get involved in her life and see his plan work. However, getting close to her triggers feelings that Ho Yoon must not have.
Korean Drama Scripting Your Destiny is a complex, well-built fantasy romance. The drama presented not only the fantasy element masterfully but the romance as well, with a clever puzzle of events that didn’t present itself from the beginning.
The romance itself was intense, using the mystery of the past and the smooth chemistry of the two leads. The couple had plenty of moments, some comical and other more sweet, something that helped the intensity of the drama. The bromance was a good addition too.
As for the fantasy elements, the whole mythology was interesting and had many elements to make it realistic and to not sloppily craft it. The side characters added some twists and warm moments here and there.
The ending was, in addition, appropriate to the story and, actually, suited the story perfectly, as it was realistic, dramatic, and bittersweet.
