Story

Tadano is a boy who likes to stay away from trouble, but also wants to help those around him. He is cheerful and friendly, unlike his classmate, Komi, who is beautiful but unapproachable, as she seems to not talk to anyone. However, one day Tadano hears a meow, which comes from Komi. And then it’s when he learns that Komi has difficulty talking to others. Still, she dreams of making a hundred friends, and Tadano decides to help her achieve it.

Japanese Drama Komi-san was, Komyushou Desu gives a sweet story of a lovely friendship.

The drama is short, but well paced, introducing each character slowly and giving them time to be in-depth presented and have their own arc and enough screentime. Plus, they didn’t steal any of the main characters’ time.

Rather, they were well harmonized with the progress of the main story. Thus, the side characters added a lot to the story and weren’t just there to fill in the gaps and support the leads.

As for the main couple, they were sweet, but the romance was almost unnecessary, mainly because the drama didn’t have time to let it progress smoothly. Plus, the drama added to it was cliche. The ending, in addition, was rushed and left that plotline almost incomplete.

However, other than the love story, the friendships that were created were sweet and cute. They helped the main character grow and overcome her own problems, while helping themselves as well.

Unfortunately, the comedy aspect was a bit overtherop for the genre of this drama and cooled things down.
