Story

Tae Oh and In Ha, two very different people, meet when they are just high school students, but quickly hatch a plan to help each other rise, each one for his own reasons. But when they meet Hye Won, a woman with her own plan, things will start cracking between them.

Korean Drama Impossible Heir is a melodrama about family and power.

The start of the drama is quite boring, and it feels like they are focusing more on the romance, rather than the relationship between the two main leads.

Things get better when In Ha embraces his dark side and Tae Oh discovers his friend’s true colors. It is then that the action part is enhanced and the politics that were playing in the background, resurface.

Also, the family drama was interesting to follow.

The romance, on the other hand, was boring and the chemistry between the couple was lacking.

Characters

Tae Oh is a clever young man who doesn’t have power or money, but his strategic skills and loyalty help him be trusted by his higher-ups.

Lee Jae Wook gave a smooth performance.

In Ha is a young man who grew up in poverty, raised by his mother, until he discovered that his father is a wealthy CEO. That makes his thirst for power even stronger.

Lee Jun Young handled his character nicely and nailed his emotional scenes.

Hye Won is a young woman who has a hurtful past and has an ambitious plan for the future.

Hong Su Zu had some nice moments, but her overall performance felt wooden.
