Korean Drama Celebrity is a thriller with a modern twist
Story
Ah Ri, a famous influencer, posts a video where she admits that her followers murdered her, while she relates her story of how she became famous. Thus, the mystery of her death starts unfolding.
Korean Drama Celebrity is a makjang with a more contemporary theme.
The drama has impressive cinematography, with glossy scenes and fancy costumes.
However, that is only the flowery cover that hid an otherwise boring drama with poor story development and over-the-top twists.
The scandals weren’t actually that shocking and the whole situation, though intriguing at first, got tedious and a try hard.
The romance, in addition, was tedious and predictable, especially since the couple lacked chemistry.
Characters
Ah Ri is a famous influencer who used to be in marketing, struggling to get by, but admiring those who had more than she had. Thus, she is ready to do anything in order to get fame and money.
Park Gyu Young gave an intriguing performance.
