Korean Drama Now, We Are Breaking Up is a cheesy melodrama
Story
Young Eun and Jae Kook meet for one night after a party and then they go in their separate ways. However, fate and work bring them back together. They both feel attracted to each other, but they know that they can’t make it work, as they are completely different.
Korean Drama Now, We Are Breaking Up is a melodrama focusing on a love story that was doomed to fail.
The story has a nice office-fashion atmosphere, that feels like going through the pages of a fashion magazine.
The second couple was pretty cute, in addition, and the friend’s illness was the main source of emotional climax for the story.
Unfortunately, the rest of the plot was lukewarm towards boring. The love story was bad and it didn’t help that there was a repeatetive pattern to their relationship. The flash backs were also too lengthy and were shown more times than necessary.
As for the office drama, the twists and intrigues were not as interesting as they presented them to be.
Characters
Young Eun is a fashionista who loves her job and has focused her life on pushing her career forward. Thus, her personal life has suffered due to that, as she promotes her cold professional attitude towards her love life as well.
Song Hye Kyo was really enjoyable and fashionable.

Jae Guk is a freelance photographer who has made a name for himself. He is also a man who can pose as an example of a perfect boyfriend.
Jang Ki Yong gave an emotional performance as always.

Chi Sook is Young Eun’s friend. She is the daughter of a rich businessman and thus she is a director in his company. She is cute, girly and also very strong.
Choi Hee Seo was adorable and cheeky.
Do Hoon is Jae Guk’s friend and an enterprenor who is a calm force.
Kim Joo Heon was really sweet and had a lot of chemistry with his partner.

The drama had a nice atmosphere and interesting intros.

My overall rating for the Korean Drama Now, We Are Breaking Up is 4 out of 10. Though the romance, which was the main theme of the drama, was boring, there were some nice touches.
