Story

Ji Woo’s and Sun Min’s friendship is shaken when Sun Min is selected to study dancing in Seoul and she has to move there from Busan. Ji Woo knows that he can’t follow her due to his mother’s deteriorating health and his growing responsibilities. But when he follows his mom to another part of the city, he comes across a cafe where the atmosphere feels odd and the people there even weirder.

Korean Drama Cafe Midnight Season 3: The curious stalker is a confusing drama. The main cue that helps to understand what is going on is that this is a series that takes place in a Cafe Midnight that helps people by manipulating time and space.

But the main problem with the story is how it was presented. Sometimes flashbacks occur that seem like they are on the main timeline. Other times, scenes are shown that are only speculations and not real events in the story.

However, even though most of it was confusing, things get clearer in the ending and the small clues that are scattered here and there throughout the drama come together and actually make sense.

Other than that, the story is okay, kind of dramatic and sad, with smooth progress. The romance is fine, almost predictable, but cute still. Nevertheless, the ending was rushed.

Also, the family drama was interesting. The mother-son relationship was sweet too. And the two leads friendship was refreshing and entertaining.

Characters

Ji Woo is constantly afraid that his sick mother will stop recognizing him one day. That is why he doesn’t establish long-term relationships, feeling burdened by responsibilities. And when his mother starts seeing someone, he begins following her to find out who’s her boyfriend.

Kim Do Young‘s performance was okay for his first time acting and he got better as the drama progressed.

Sun Min is an outcast at school, especially when she passes a prestige audition and gets a dancing scholarship. However, Sun Min doesn’t stop being optimistic and cheerful and she shares her enthusiasm with her friend Ji Woo.

Kim In Yi did a great job with her character and she was especially good when dancing.
