Good Morning Call is a super cute drama with a sweet romance
Story
When Nao’s parents move to the countryside, she convinces them that she can live by herself until she graduates. She even finds a place to rent.
However, when she finally moves in, she discovers that the agency has also rented her place to a boy, Hisashi. And, as they both can’t afford it on their own, and with nowhere to go, they decide to live together.
Good Morning Call is a cute school drama. And, as it is a drama, the romance is well paced and has a lot of sweet moments.
The two leads had chemistry, which helped a lot, as they are cliche characters that can probably be found in most of the school romance dramas.
The love triangle was really good as well and kept things fresh until the very ending.
Now, for the second season of the drama (Good Morning Call Our Campus Days) was not as good, and it didn’t really add much to the story as it is.
Characters
Nao is a cute, naive girl who decides to live on her own and to don’t follow her family to the countryside. However, she ends up with a roommate, with whom she tries to get closer, even though he pushes her away.
Fukuhara Haruka was really cute in this one and she did a good job with her character.

Hisashi is the popular boy in Nao’s school. He is a top student, but he is cold and arrogant. He seems to be annoyed by Nao, as they don’t seem to see eye to eye.
Shiraishi Shunya was a pretty good main lead, but he sometimes seemed to not have chemistry with his partner.
Issei is a boy who works at the same restaurant as Nao. He appears to be a sarcastic guy who dislikes Nao, but he is in love with her and wants to protect her.
Ito Kentaro was a really sweet second lead.

The drama had a good pace and they used the cliche trops well.
Overall
My overall rating for the Japanese drama Good Morning Call is 7 out of 10. The drama is a light, cute school romance with adorable characters.
