Story

Noomnim meets a handsome stranger at a bar, where she is celebrating her new job. However, after a great night with him, she loses his number and is convinced that she will never see him again. But, on her first day at her new job she realizes that that charming stranger is actually her boss.

Thai Drama Oh My Boss is a classic romantic comedy with few surprises and constant twists that tried to spice up the love story.

However, the drama ends up being boring and predictable. The trope of something occurring to ruin the couple’s perfect relationship quickly gets stale, as it is more than three times repeatable.

The office drama, moreover, did not help the main story at all. It only stalls the progress of the love story, but, other than that, it was only there to fill in the gaps.

Actually, the whole drama was mostly focused on two main characters and the rest are just there to add a comment or two. Thus, they are barely introduced, with no story and no purpose other than appearing next to the leads.

The love story itself is tiring to watch. It has its ups and downs and it was intense to watch at first, but the guy kept messing up and the girl kept being miserable and that led to a forced romance with unsatisfying explanation and faster than light forgiveness.

Characters

Noomnim is good at her work and she does her best to not let anyone down. She is a good friend and a good colleague and she cares for those around her.

Mook Worranit Thawornwong was an enjoyable female lead, though her character was too much of a pushover.

Koji is a CEO who is fair to his employees and tries to move the company forward. He is, however, always flirting with everyone and confuses Noomnim with his actions.

Luke Ishikawa Plowden did a good job with his performance, even though his character was a dbag most of the time.

Rena is a mysterious woman who appears to be close to Koji, even though he claims she is just his friend. She likes to ploy and play with those around her to get what she wants.

Knomjean Kullamas Limpawutivaranon played the femme fatal perfectly.

Cinematography

The dramas pace was messy and the twists rushed.

Overall

My overall rating for the Thai Drama Oh My Boss is 3 out of 10. The couple had chemistry but the story of the drama was boring.
