Previously:
- Joon Hyuk got kidnapped by Ji Hoo’s grandmother, but his friends and family created a movement to free him, knowing that he was in the old woman’s house. The movement was so great that she had to come out and declare that she was going to help find him, while she dumped him somewhere in the city. That helped get custody of Ji Hoo legally.
- Joon Hyuk became a famous singer.
- Joon Hee and Kyung Il got married.
- However, at their wedding, Joon Hyuk visits a hospital where he finds out that he has heart problems and he needs a transplant immediately. But he finds it hard to tell his family and his girlfriend Hwa Uhm.
Joo Hyuk reveals that he needs surgery after Hwa Uhm finds out by answering his phone and announcing to Joo Hyuk’s family that they are going to live together. Joo Hyuk gets an artificial heart and everything seems fine, until he gets worse.
Seven years later, Ji Hoo is a famous rookie idol and he expresses his gratitude to his uncle for making him the artist that he is today. Then he visits Joo Hyuk’s house, where he lives with his wife, Hwa Uhm, and their daughter, and they all have lunch together, along with Joon Hee and Kyung Il.
The ending was suspenseful when it came to Joo Hyuk’s health problems and his progress, but it was a happy one in the end, as it is revealed that Joo Hyuk got successful, with having a happy family life, but also not changing his personality at all.
The overall drama had plenty of material to work with, with the mean moms, the rich family struggles, and Joo Hyuk’s dream of becoming a singer, along with the smooth creation of the right family dynamics between him and Ji Hoo. However, there were plenty of boring episodes and predictable twists.
