After Ji Yeon discovers that she suffers from breast cancer, she postpones her wedding and is preparing for surgery. The girls are there for their friend, trying to be optimistic and cheerful when they are around her, but struggling to accept it when she is in surgery.

So Hee is still mourning her father’s death, while Ji Gu, who had quit her teaching position after her student’s suicide, something that reminded her of her own attempt, finds comfort at one of her online community comments. Someone who had been her antagonist in the past, but now proves to be a nice escape for her.

After surgery, Ji Yeon is recovering just fine, but now she has to decide whether she wants to take back her fiance, who wasn’t very supportive when he found out about her illness, or date her nurse, who was there for her all throughout her treatment.

So Hee, on the other hand, is falling in love with Buk Gu, who had helped her when she lost her father. But after she discovered that his ex is pregnant, she is afraid that she is too late. However, it’s revealed that Buk Gu had no sexual relations with his ex, but he asks So Hee to be his sex partner instead, as he feels like she has ‘awaken’ his body after they met. To that, So Hee gets angry and disappointed.

On the other hand, Ji Gu discovers that her online friend is an origami artist and she meets him at one of his signings, where she asks his autograph, believing that he hasn’t recognized her. However, the personalized dedication proves her wrong.

In the end, it’s Christmas again and the girls are heading towards their favourite bar, dressed up and in a festive mood. There, four guys are waiting for them, Buk Gu with a ring, the two guys fighting for Ji Yeon and Ji Gu’s online friend. That indicates that the bledge they’ve made last Christmas is becoming reality.

The ending scene is the girls dancing to Christmas toons, a nice touch as Christmas is indeed around the corner. Also, it proves that the drama’s focus remains the girls and their friendship, despite their own personal lives.

The ending was, overall, bittersweet. It wasn’t rushed, but the events leading to the final conclusion were challenging for the girls. The final scene, however, showed the primary mood of the drama, the deep friendship and the light, party notion of the story.

As for the chance for a second season, it isn’t unlikable to see the girls again. The story does wrap up nicely, but the friends’ dynamics can be put through new adventures.
