Story

Kayo is a seventeen-year-old girl who’s in love with her best friend. They surf together and they had been friends for a very long time. However, Kayo finds it difficult to confess to him. That’s until an older Kayo appears in front of her. The older Kayo explains that she is from the future, where Kayo is still single. That future, however, can change, if teenage Kayo finds love. So, the two of them start a mission to confess to Shinnosukue, the best friend. But, there is one problem: a boy named Ryoichi. Ryoichi has come from the future as well and he tries to sabotage Kayo’s plan by making her fall for him.

The drama had very summery vibes, with the beach, the surfing and the youngsters in swimming costumes. The love story was cute as well and very sweet. The love triangle was interesting to boot. Both leads were adorable and they had chemistry which helped a lot. However, the whole fantasy thing was not explained well. That resulted in some confusion towards the ending and the messy final conclusion. Nevertheless, the drama is a fun one to watch and it’s short as well!!

Characters

Kayo is a sweet, playful girl who is secretly in love with her best friend. She is overall adorable and very positive. Tanabe Momoko surely has a bright future ahead of her, as she is not only beautiful but a good actress as well.

Shinnosukue is Kayo’s best friend. He is a boy who loves surfing. He also is always there for Kayo, to protect her and support her. Shinnosukue was actually the classic mainstream love interest, with some brotherly vibes. Kizu Takumi suited that role and his performance was decent.

Ryoichi is a mysterious boy who is forcing his way into Kayo’s life, whether she wants it or not. He is confident, determined and he hides a huge secret. Kamio Fuju was the dark prince of the drama, and he was good at it.

Cinematography

The drama was nicely presented, apart of the fantasy theme, though, that could have been handled better.

Overall

My overall rating for this drama is seven out of ten. For a lighthearted, fluff drama, this one was perfect.
