Japanese Drama Eye Love You is a cute romance, but a bad fantasy

Story

After an accident, Yuri gains the ability to listen to people’s thoughts when she looks into their eyes. However, that special gift prevents Yuri from opening up to others and having a boyfriend. That is until she meets Tae Oh, a Korean student whose inner voice is in Korean!

Japanese Drama Eye Love You is a fantasy, office, romantic comedy.

First of all, the drama does a great job with the romance. The couple had loads of chemistry and offered a lot of sweet moments. Their difference in nationality was also an element that created cute misunderstandings and bonding moments.

The fantasy element, on the other hand, was messy and badly handled. It got even worse toward the ending when they wanted to add some drama to the mix, but it didn’t sail well with the story that the series had established so far.

Finally, the side couple was adorable.
