As for the first post of the fall, I’ve picked an action drama that is not only enjoyable, but short as well. Enjoy!!

Story

Kang Ho is an alternative police officer who solves cases in his own way, by using his fighter friends to get to the bottom of things. Moo Young is the producer of a news program that doesn’t achieve the numbers that her boss wants, and thus, she goes beyond legal measures to investigate crimes and get to the truth. Eventually, Kang Ho and Moo Young will work together to catch a serial killer who has been getting away for years.

Team Bulldog: Off Duty Investigation gave an anthology of crimes and a variety of characters. The crime cases were pretty intense and entertaining, with a big serial killer case for the final highlight. The team, or the two teams to be exact, had chemistry and were funny and interesting, each member with their own charms.

Another thing that the drama nailed was the action scenes. The fights were satisfying and well-choreographed. The lack of romance, moreover, was a plus for the drama. However, there were a lot of questions left unanswered in the end, so there might be a second season. Still, the length of the drama was perfect for the criminal cases that it presents. And the whole “team bulldog” was explained in the last episode!!

Characters

Kang Ho followed the steps of his late father and became a police officer. However, due to the fact that his first case didn’t end well and he let the criminal go by following the right steps. Since then, he often goes after duty hour to investigate under his own terms.

Cha Tae Hyun was pretty great, especially with the action scenes.

Moo Young is a strong, dynamic woman who often takes it too far in her quest for the best scoop. She is good in finding her way out of difficult situations and getting the truth out.

Lee Sun Bin was a delight to watch and she handled her goofy character masterfully.

Teddy Jung is an ex gangster who now owns a bar-restaurant where Kang Ho is a frequent client. He often helps him with his difficult cases along with his two assistants.

Yoon Gyung Ho was one of the best addition in the cast and he managed to balance the action scenes with the emotional ones.
