After a robbery which have them missing both machine and Min Ah, Seon Man and Baek Joong track the thieves down to their hideout, a warehouse owned by In Won, a scientist who was the previous owner of the machine.
In Won and his nephew Tae Man have tried to use the machine before, but they couldn’t figure out how to make it work. Eventually, they understand that they have to use the two machines together, but the knowledge comes too late, with In Won turning into a caterpillar after using the machine.
He stuck with the machine as it changed owners, even witnessing the death of the fried chicken restaurant owner. He eventually turned back into a human and now he is aiming to use the machine to change the world, to the dismay of Seon Man and Baek Joong.
However, Tae Man takes both boss and intern as hostage and keeps them tied down, as they prepare to carry out their plan. Regardless, before they manage to do so, the four people from the popular fried chicken restaurant arrive. They explain that they came from another planet to Earth during the Joseon era, but they used the machine to transform themselves into humans.
But they lost the machines, after a human used them to their advantage, and they have been trying to track them down to get back to their planet. Thus, they now have to fight the humans in the warehouse to get to the machines, even though they can’t really use violence.
Eventually, however, one of them results in it, which means that he won’t be able to go back to his home planet. The aliens, then, ask Seon Man and Baek Joong to help them, as, if they manage to return home, they will be able to fix the machine and turn Min Ah into a human again. However, she will be able to come back to earth in 50 years. Eventually, the two men agree, and they take the machines back to the forest where they first appeared, saying goodbye to Min Ah.
Fifty years later, Baek Joong has turned into a famous singer, after his jingle that he sang while he walked down the street, was recorded by a random youth, and went viral. He still however is waiting for Min Ah.
And, finally, the time has come, as one of the aliens comes back. But, he has bad news to share, as Min Ah is still in the nugget form. He admits that it has taken more than expected and that the machine needs just one more day to charge, which also means that henceforward no one will remember Min Ah.
Baek Joong is heartbroken, but he is presented with another option, to return back in time, but, his memory of this timeline would be erased. Baek Joong then calls Min Ah’s father, who has been waiting for her, but he passes away on his way to meet them.
Thus, Baek Joong has to make the decision on his own, and he presses the bottom, turning back time to the day when Min Ah came to their workplace carrying the box of chicken nuggets.
Overall, the series was a fun ride, but the ending was open.
