Sang Jae has conspired with Yeon Joo’s ‘son’ to kill the latter, and so, in the pretense that they were to run away together, Sang Jae takes her on a ship full of containers. However, Yeon Joo sees that one of the containers has her late husband’s company name on it, and figures Sang Jae’s betrayal. She tries to run, but he is determent to eliminate her.
That is when Moon Young arrives along with Jin Woo, as they have gone to Yeon Joo’s hideout, found her bodyguard dead, and figured out what happened. They then use the tracking device Jin Woo installed in Sang Jae’s phone a while ago and quickly discover them. She tries to save Yeon Joo, but Sang Jae won’t stop, even with Jin Woo fighting him off, while Moon Young is fleeing with Yeon Joo, who tells her about her last gift.
Turns out, Yong Joo has visited Moon Young’s father in prison and told him about his daughter’s downfall and how he should take responsibility and kill himself. The old man is distressed and tries to hang himself, but, he ends up in a coma and is rushed to the hospital, which just then calls Moon Young to inform her about it. Still, Moon Young with no other choice, jumps off the ship along with Yeon Joo. They fortunately end up on the shore, where the police discover them.
Yeon Joo is hospitalized, and, after recovering, she is sentenced to jail. But, while CEO Choi sends an assassin after her, she is saved by Moon Young, who tries to take for hostage, and then threatens to kill herself if she doesn’t help her run away. Fortunately, Moon Young talks her out of threatening her and tells her that she will willingly take her wherever she wants to go. Thus, she drives her to her father’s grave, showing her that she has made things right for him at last. Yeon Joo collapses crying over her dead father, while the police arrive to arrest her.
Meanwhile, Moon Young has discovered where her mother-in-law is hiding along with Beom. She arrives at the hotel, just in time when the older lady is talking with her son and is trying to reach him, leaving Beom alone in the room. Moon Young confronts her and she seems to be unwilling to betray her son. But, Beom, hearing her mother’s cries, gets out of the room and is finally reunited with her mother. Hence, the mother-in-law decides to finally cooperate with the police once they arrive back in Seoul.
She then takes her daughter to meet her grandfather for the first time. The old man is happy and, having recovered, he goes to his victim’s grave and asks for forgiveness.
As for Sung Jae, he arrives in Switzerland, and wants to take his money from the bank, while the police have sent out his arrest warrant, as his fake identity, Tae Soo, is discovered to be of a dead man’s. His co-conspirator CEO Choi, has also discovered that he has not killed Yeon Joo and has sent men after him. And, as Sung Jae is trying to escape all of them, he is captured and beaten badly. He is, thus, bedridden and unable to speak, with the Swiss police thinking that he is just an illegal immigrant, as
After arriving home, Moon Young is ready to face her charges. She is sentenced to one-year imprisonment for her trial manipulation, and, after serving it, she lives happily with her daughter, while Yeon Joo seems to be depressed in her cell. Jin Woo is also on his way to meet his daughter and her adoptive parents. Finally, Moon Young has found peace and she pulls herself together as she moves forward.
Overall, the drama had nice twists and interesting characters.
